Adding Artwork

I promised to add artwork to this page and I am beginning to do so. In My Media File there are about a dozzen peices or so (give or take a few) as of this the date of this posting. All of the peices today are mine, as befits a portfolio. Most of these are cg, but I did include a caricature of a friend which began life as a scanned hand sketch, only it’s coloring is computerized.  In the past I hae used photoshop 5.5 and photoshop elements. These programs were preloaded on computers that have died. recently I have been using paint. net extensively, and sometimes the gimp.

I also included a photographic still life of a pot on my old kiln from when I worked at the salvation army. I appreciate the light and shade on unfired greenware, and on this simple form.  This piece was meant to advertise my class to clients of the rehab  program. I taught it weekly for 11 years, pouring and decorating mostly with Duncan products.

The small figurines in these shots are little creatures I call  “Brownies” in honor of the british fairie tradition of mischievous household spirits.  I made them as a personal in joke with a friend many years ago.  They are mostly Sculpy plastic oven baked clay,  with hair made from unraveled yarn, appropriately raggedy clothing of real fabric remnants, and jointing of  tan chenille wire.  Unfortunately, the epoxy glue that holds all the peices together, does not seem to have held some of the hands and feet on as much as one would have hoped, and they are somewhat delicate.

I will be adding more work soon.
